This strawberry blueberry smoothie recipe is bursting with fresh berry flavour. Banana is added to the frozen berries along with some Greek yogurt to thicken the smoothie, milk and a drop of honey for added sweetness.
Place all the ingredients into a high speed blender and blitz to a smooth consistency.
Divide the smoothie between 2 glasses and serve immediately.
Notes
Use frozen fruits as this will save you having to add ice cubes to cool down the smoothie, which also causes the flavours to become more diluted as the ice melts.Frozen berries are available all year round, which saves you buying out of season fresh berries which are often imported, expensive and don't taste as good.Slice and freeze the banana the night before, ready to add to your smoothie in the morning.Take time to property blend the smoothie, removing any lumps of frozen berry. You may need to scrape down the sides of the blender and couple of times. This smoothie is best enjoyed fresh from the blender, but can be stored for a day in the fridge.
