We’ve rounded up a selection of Easter baking for #CookBlogShare from traditional to gluten free to vegan! Everything you need for your Easter celebrations.

Welcome to #CookBlogShare 2020 week 10 and some tempting Easter baking.
#CookBlogShare is a weekly link party where recipes are shared, we comment on each other’s cooking creations and generally indulge in all things food related! If you’ve got a recipe to share then this is the place to show it off!
We host this link party, which runs every Tuesday with Jacqui at Recipes Made Easy and fellow guest bloggers.
Your host for next week will be Feast Glorious Feast – Chloe’s first CookBlogShare – so be gentle with her.
If you are new to this link party then take a few minutes to read the guidelines below before joining us. You are welcome to share your old and new recipes as there is no specific theme and all recipes are welcome.
Thank you to everyone who contributed last week and shared their recipes with us. We were spoilt for choice with so many lovely dishes to add to our list of makes & bakes.
The past month at Lost in Food
This past month has been spent concentrating on producing some new content, trialling new recipes and taking lots of photos. We’ve some very colourful dishes coming your way soon as the season changes, and we are excited to share them with you.
We’ve also been asked to become a Froothie UK Brand Ambassador. What does this mean? In short, we were sent a Froothie Evolve High Speed Blender and given the chance to put it through its paces and share our experiences with our readers. You can have a read of our review and find a special reader offer as well. It also means that if anyone buys via our Ambassador link then we earn a small commission.
Last month we also showed off a super simple chocolate dessert for a Nutella Mousse that was a huge hit with our teens and for Valentines Day. We also shared some recipes from our latest Supperclubs including our Braised Beef Cheeks and Potato Pave.
Beef Cheeks in Red Wine Nutella Mousse Potato Pave
The last 4 weeks have also been put to use rephotographing some older recipes. Some photos really needed to be redone – take our Rhubarb Clafoutis for example. Of course this brings the added bonus of eating more delicious goodies!
Before… After…
Easter baking

Not necessarily an Easter baking recipe but originally associated with Mothering Sunday, Janice shows us how to make Simnel Cake. Filled with dried fruits and topped with sweet marzipan this cake looks amazing. I do love the addition of the little chick on top to anticipate the start of spring.

Easter always brings to mind hot cross buns for me. Sticky and sweet with dried fruits and gentle spices. But Kate at Gluten Free Alchemist takes the hot cross bun and combines it with a scone for these amazing looking Hot Cross Scones! Even better, they are suitable for coeliacs as they are gluten free.

Easter baking is never complete without biscuits. Jo over on Jo’s Kitchen Larder makes these tempting little Easter Biscuits dusted in sparkling sugar and filled with dried fruit. They look delicious and I dare anyone to know they are vegan! For more biscuit ideas then head to Curly’s Cooking for her Jam Thumbprint Cookies.

Would it really be an #CookBlogShare Easter Baking roundup if I didn’t include something with mini eggs, creme eggs or chocolate? Of course not! How about this simple Chocolate Mini Loaf Cake from Kat over at The Baking Explorer? I love how she used multicoloured buttercream to match the mini eggs. Head on over to find her tricks for getting this look on your cake.
To finish my roundup for #CookBlogShare Easter baking and a real chocolate indulgence then Lou from Crumbs and Corkscrews gives you this super moist Creme Egg Traybake. I think my teens would devour this in minutes but I can already feel my waitlist expanding.

I have been updating my photos and recipes for the last few months. Although it is quite time consuming it is good to see how I have improved over the years. Your clafoutis looks really delicious!
Lesley
Thank you Cat, this is easily one of my favourite rhubarb recipes, of which I have many as I love this pink stem! Yes the before and after photo’s always give you a laugh, it’s good to see your own progress and how far we’ve come. Lesley x
Lou Gunstone
Great round-up for Easter ideas. (and love the Before and After photo’s 😉
Lesley
Thank you Lou, there are some great Easter baking ideas here. And yes, we love a good before and after photo – this one isn’t even the worst! There are far worse photos on our site, but I don’t want to update them all as it’s good to look back and see how far we’ve come. Lesley x
Jo Allison / Jo's Kitchen Larder
Thank you for featuring my biscuits amongst all the other delectable treats! Easter will be here before we know it so it’s good to be prepared! 🙂 I too have a thing for rhubarb and love the photos of your gorgeous clafoutis, stunning!
Lesley
You are more than welcome Jo, there are some great Easter bakes in this roundup. Yes rhubarb, one of the highlights of the seasonal food calendar. Lesley x
Monika Dabrowski
These Easter bakes look amazing, I really couldn’t pick a favourite although the hot cross scones sound very different and interesting.
Lesley
Thank you Monica, I agree it’s a great round-up and the difficulty is knowing where to start! Lesley x
Donna

Kate - Gluten Free Alchemist
I LOVE Easter baking… the spices, colours, flavours… Thank you for including my Scones!
As for Clafoutis…. .It’s STILL on my list of not yet made and will do one day’! We picked our first rhubarb from the garden the other day too…. Maybe with the next crop, I’ll be inspired to combine the two xx
Lesley
You are more than welcome Kate, my Mum is coeliac and I’m always looking for inspiration. The thing she misses most is a good scone so I will definitely give these a try. Lesley x
Eb Gargano | Easy Peasy Foodie
Aaaah – it’s definitely beginning to look a lot like Easter (eeeeeeggs in all the stores…) Love all the Easter bakes you’ve featured. And I’m lining up my second Easter bake of the 2020 season – my easy peasy creme egg brownies 😀 Eb x

Your rhubarb clafoutis looks totally delectable – both photos. In fact your before photos look better than my updated ones! Raring to go with Easter bakes now I’ve seen this gorgeous lot.
Lesley
Thank you Choclette, this rhubarb dish is one of my favourites. That said, I love rhubarb and am just as happy with a bowl of stewed rhubarb. Yes our photos, you do get a laugh when you look back. Lesley x

Janice
Thank you for featuring my recipe. Um almost more excited by Easter baking than Christmas, probably because there are not so many other things to do! Some lovely bakes there and your before and after photos are interesting to see, although your before isn’t as bad as some of mine! I’ll be back to link up later in the week.
Lesley
You’re very welcome Janice and I know exactly what you mean about Easter baking, I think it’s less manic! Yes this before and after shot – it needed doing but is nowhere near to being the worst photos we have. Sometimes nice to have a giggle and look at how far we’ve all come. Lesley x
