There’s a new Gin festival coming to North East Scotland. GIN:NE is being held in Inverurie Town Hall on 9-10 February 2018 and tickets are selling like hotcakes. GIN:NE celebrates all that is good about Gin from across Scotland.
With 30 exhibitors and Fever-Tree sponsoring the event, it promises to be a great festival. Three separate sessions running over the course of the 2 days: Friday 6-10pm; Saturday 12-4pm and Saturday 6-10pm. Alongside exhibitor stands, each session will run 3 Masterclasses, the tickets for which can be bought on the day from the ticket office. A token system will operate throughout the festival. Each ticket bought provides you with 10 tokens that can be exchanged for samples from the exhibitors. Further tokens can also be purchased on the day from the ticket office.
Once you’ve tried a sample, head to the Gin Bar (run by Mike and his team of staff from the Black Bull Inn, Inverurie) where you can purchase the perfect serve of your favourite Gins. Each Distiller will provide the bar staff with their perfect serve so you can enjoy each gin at its best. Purchases of your favourite gins on the day itself can be made direct with distillers at their stand.
Great transport links: a taxi rank and bus stop directly outside the Town Hall; the Railway station a 2 minute walk away makes this a great day or night out, come along and chat with the distillers themselves and listen to their story. All things considered this looks to be a great festival.
With Christmas just around the corner, these festival tickets make a great gift. If you are interested in purchasing tickets head to the GIN:NE website. You will find further details on all the Masterclasses as well as a comprehensive list of exhibitors.1
